Always love this place. Their Roti Canai, veg Chili chicken (made from soy) and coconut pudding are absolutely finger licking good.

Affordable lunch deals ($8.95) and 10%off if you pay with cash. Deal includes soup, with 3 options to choose from. We tried the egg drop and the curry and they were tasty. Curry one is slightly spicy. For mains we got malaysian fried noodle and curry fried rice. Noodles were excellent and with 5 shrimps. Fried rice also delicious and fresh, comes with chicken. Mild but I'd say slightly spicy. They also have drinks and appetizers I want to try next!

Satay, Asia's Restaurant, Great Food! The freshness of the food here is Amazing. Service is extraordinary. Prices are very reasonable

Nice shop with a lunch special you can't miss!! This meal with choice of rice and soup, all for $8.75! Nice server who take care of us as well. Nice decor as well. PS, ask for the chilli oil, it spĂces up everything!

Absolutely absolutely love this place. The duck trengganu is absolutely incredible and one of the most flavorful dishes I've had in a long time. Another favorite is the Ayam Randang. The staff is friendly and will help you with suggestions from their large menu.

It's great Malaysian (and Chinese) cuisine, all very authentic. I've had better but there aren't many (any?) other Malaysian restaurants in the neighborhood so I'm happy to have this old reliable in downtown Hoboken for when I'm craving Satay Tofu.

Amazing place, plenty of options, good seating and quick service. Got the chicken satay, paratha and roti kanai for appetizers. Everything was tasty. The roti especially was light and nice and the chicken gravy was perfect. The rotis and paratha are filling. For mains got the pineapple fried rice (Nasi Nenas) which was great. Also got Ayam Rendang, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the gravy was thicker and tasted great. A great place overall. The place offers a 10% discount if you pay in cash.

I would like to first off state how sad I am to hear Satay will be closing in the coming weeks. However, I wish the owners a happy retirement and hope they are able to relax a little more. With that said, I am in complete bliss when my delivery arrives. The food comes quickly and piping hot! The Szechuan Spicy Wontons are insane. Peanut butter flavor explosion with every bite. The Curry Chicken with Potato is arguably the best dish on their menu. I've never had such a flavorful curry dish. The Sizzling beef is delicious, the scallion pancakes are crack, roti canai is unreal. If you haven't given this place a shot, it's now or never.

Satay certainly merits a note for #thankyouthursday. Roti canai, sambal udang and achat have been spectacular spice vessels for decades. I've always enjoyed the food and service, but Satay was most crucial during the peak Covid era when I was stuck in the JC/Hoboken vicinity. Picnics at Pier A park or a quick delivery of nasi lemak made those difficult times a bit more festive. This year I've tried to venture beyond the classics to pursue more deep cuts, but the menu is so elaborate I might not get to everything.

Super tasty food. OK service (they know their place works, so there is no extra effort to smile or welcome guests, its rather cold service!), smallish portion sizes for the price point, small space(so often feels cramped) All the four stars go towards the tasty food. We tried Roti Cana, Pad Thai, Kari Sayur. All were made fresh, pipping hot and tasty.
